Working with the El Dorado County Transportation Commission, AIM developed and implemented a public engagement program for the Diamond Springs and El Dorado Area Mobility and Livable Community Plan. The Plan explored improvements to the transportation system that will enhance interregional and regional safety in the rural communities of Diamond Springs and El Dorado. The study also considered and analyzed land uses identified in the El Dorado County General Plan to ensure that potential improvements to the transportation system are acceptable, safe, and are compatible with planned zoning and land uses in the project area. AIM developed an engagement program that offered an opportunity for stakeholders and the public at-large to learn about the project and provide input on the project’s goals, objectives, and impacts to the community, gain consensus on the approach, and review existing conditions in the project area. In addition, the public assisted in prioritizing project goals, which included preserving the natural resources of the area while enhancing the community’s safety.
- AIM was instrumental in developing and implementing successful communications strategies that highlighted the District's efforts to both a local and regional audience.
