Working with the Placer County Transportation Planning Agency (PCTPA), AIM is serving as the communications and outreach consultant providing comprehensive media relations and strategic communication services to spotlight the agency’s efforts to a local and regional audience. In addition to creating and implementing a strategic communications plan, AIM assists the agency with media relations, website updates, social media content management, and strategic counsel.
AIM worked with PCTPA to organize the grand opening of the Lincoln Bypass, the largest stretch of newly built highway in California in a decade. The 11.7 mile Bypass provides a new thoroughfare for Highway 65 through the Lincoln area. With more than 500 people in attendance, PCTPA Board Chair and Lincoln Councilmember Tom Cosgrove served as master of ceremonies for the Celebration in October of 2012. Also sharing the stage were featured speakers including Caltrans Director Malcolm Dougherty, Placer County Supervisor Jim Holmes, PCTPA Executive Director Celia McAdam, Congressman John Doolittle, Caltrans District 3 Director Jody Jones and the Chief Deputy Director of the California Transportation Commission, Andre Boutros. Following the ceremonial opening of Phase 1 of the Bypass , PCTPA continued working on Phase 2A which opened in June of 2014.
Currently, PCTPA is evaluating the opportunity to place on the ballot a local transportation funding strategy. AIM developed and is implementing a strategic communication plan to provide open dialogue and educate stakeholders and the community-at-large about the agency’s recent project delivery and upcoming projects and their community benefits. The plan’s objective is to educate the community of the synergy between community and economic development and transportation investments.
- AIM was instrumental in developing and implementing successful communications strategies that highlighted the District's efforts to both a local and regional audience.
