AIM Consulting is currently serving as the Communications and Community Outreach Consultant for Sacramento Regional Transit’s Green Line to the Airport project. Regional Transit has proposed extending the current Green Line light rail service to the Sacramento International Airport in up to three phases in order to provide a multi-modal option for the local community and visitors. AIM has developed a community outreach strategy that strives to provide multiple options for community and stakeholder input on the project before and during the environmental process.
AIM has conducted stakeholder interviews and presentations for community, neighborhood, business, and transportation groups invested and interested in the Green Line project as well as reaching out to under-represented local groups. AIM is currently enhancing the Green Line brand, including developing an interactive map-based website. In addition, AIM has facilitated a series of stakeholder meetings to gain input on the design of the light rail crossing over the American River. Most recently, AIM hosted a series of community open house meetings for the public to learn more about the project and provide feedback before the environmental studies. More than 240 community members attended the three meetings. The community engagement program includes the creation and implementation of a community outreach strategy, including stakeholder identification, outreach and meetings, facilitation and planning of stakeholder interviews and presentations, development of project brand and website, and development and preparation of communication materials.
- AIM was instrumental in developing and implementing successful communications strategies that highlighted the District's efforts to both a local and regional audience.
